Basket the GHO is Ready to Go Wild
Tomorrow is a big day for Basket the Great Horned Owl. She gets her freedom day! She has passed every test we threw at her and she's ready to return to the wild after the storms blow through tonight. We'll post a video and photos from her release later this week. Tonight, she didn't disappoint with these beautiful plumage deimatic displays. She is absolutely stunning and will be a voracious hunter when she gets back out there!

Hopefully they put up warnings for the local rodent population since they are releasing such a great hunter
I felt that way about one of the GHO we recently released. She was big, aggressive, and would steal food from me before I could even give it to her! Toughest owl I've met yet, and this one reminds me very much of her
Next time my lunch is missing from the office fridge I'll keep an eye out for a GHO
Maybe I should clarify she was stealing her food early, not stealing my food.
If we were eating the same diet, something would be pretty wrong with one of us! 😄
Well Sally claims it's not her and hr said I shouldn't accuse her anymore so... Must be a GHO
