Not gonna lie, I'm impressed by China. I don't think it's the greatest country ever, but I could see it's going in a better direction than most countries

That's fine and great. Until you realize they can and do accuse then convict people of sex crimes with no evidence. Usually, just cause they said something politically inconvenient like mentioning tiananmen square...

Source: it came to you in a racist dream.

Tbh, I don't think I'm knowledgeable enough about what happened in Tiananmen square or Chinese culture for now, and I would love to learn Mandarin one day

i was thinking of joining that instance since im finnish but saw the "no nazis, qanon, incels or similar whackos" rule and figured that probably includes everyone to the left of the left alliance

interesting to see people from that instance are just blatantly posting racist shit elsewhere lol

seems like joining .ml instead was a good idea

12
lemmy.ml

and then i'm instantly proven wrong by one of the good ones. not all finns are as stupid or evil as it seems online (i should know, i'm finnish also)

but yeah, i wouldn't bother with that place. they seem to still harbor their liberal brain worms and western chauvinistic tendencies over there. i suggest lemmygrad and hexbear also for a more nuanced experience, though discourse in finnish seems light

9

yeah.

i do visit their suomi (finland) and arkisuomi (every day finland) sublemmies cus they seem fine for now, cus there aren't really any other finnish spaces here and seem mostly fine, at least for now

but the moment i start seeing shit like this from the sopuli user im noping the fuck out lol

most people saw it as a symbol from the pre-nazi era and brushed over the fact that the symbol's "donor" ended up as a nazi later.

thats at least what i feel like and what i want to believe. maybe its just copium

i think most people here didn't and still don't even know about this fact, i didn't either, until i shifted far to the left

I can't imagine posting this and not feeling an immediate urge to redact myself

Each time you say ccp instead of cpc you're outing your ethnosupermacist tendencies, regardless of how much internalized they may be

15
LwLreply

So true, by not using an acronym i have never heard of in my life until just now, that i don't know what it stands for as opposed to ccp, I'm outing my ethnosupremacist tendencies. I am also very likely to start using this other acronym with no explanation because some random commentor on lemmy said so!

I'm not the guy you replied to but how disconnected from reality do you have to be for that statement?

-4

an acronym i have never heard of in my life until just now,

Well that just proves you aren't qualified to be a part of this conversation.

Unless you have investigated a problem, you will be deprived of the right to speak on it. Isn't that too harsh? Not in the least. When you have not probed into a problem, into the present facts and its past history, and know nothing of its essentials, whatever you say about it will undoubtedly be nonsense.

9
folahtreply
lemmy.ml

I don't know, you tell us.
How disconnected are you from reality?

If you were connected to reality, you would have heard of the correct acronym instead of the incorrect one.
It's literally the reality. That's the explanation.

It would be like me calling you disconnected from reality for being told to call the president of Ukraine Zelensky and the president of Usonia Trump because I only heard of Elensky and Drumpf.

7
pineapplereply

Just curious why Usonia? I've never heard of it before and I did some research and couldn't find much else aside from links to architecture.

It's interesting you think it's so widespread. Considering absolutely nothing came up regarding China in three separate searches...

The most common answer is " cost per click" by the way.

-6

CPC is what the Communist Party of China has been called from it's inception. The fact you've never heard it just simply signals to everyone that you've never read Chinese news, Chinese government papers, or anything else published by the CPC which really should disqualify you from having an opinion as it would be the very basics of having done any research on any China related topic. No investigation no right to speak really is a principle to live by.

11

To add to what others have already said and explain what i think is the essence of my point - from the very beggining parties named themsleves Yada Yada Party of Country to include all oppressed peoples of their land. Westoids twist Communist Party of China into Chinese Communist Party to imply that party represents ethnic interest instead of a class one, which in and of itself exposes how they percieve politics and governance.

This becomes obvious the moment you are able to read.

And also fucking encyclopedias and search engines exists, so fuck off with this helpless loser attitude

-8

It's amazing that you are literally so incapable of conceptualizing systemic issues, I.e. problems caused by material conditions enforced by the systems of government, that you immediately go to genetics/racism as the only other possible reason Americans are ruled by Pedos.

14

-5

No however they do however have a far worse system and given that existence precedes thought this leads to far worse outcomes in many regards such as this.

10
lemmy.ml

I don't know what this ccp is, but I definitely do not think that CPC officials are diddling kids. It's incredible how westerners have infinite capacity to project what goes on in their own rotten societies on everyone else.

Why do people keep talking about "cost per click" that's what comes up when I search the CPC acronym...

4 different search engines not a single item related to China.

And if China did change from CCP to CPC. My first question would be why? Maybe trying to distance themselves from all the evil shit they did as CCP?

-4

It's always been The Communist Party of China (CPC), the whole ccp thing was started by the US to intentionally disrespect what the party actually calls itself. Similarly to the way the west calls DPRK North Korea. And wow let's just look at all the evil shit they did. Absolutely horrific stuff on display here.

It’s a big organisation. What makes you think no one in there is rotten?

-9
lemmy.ml

I didn't say nobody there is rotten. But what I do know is that people have been ejected from CPC and even jailed for far less, something that doesn't happen in the west. Having actual accountability is the difference.

19
FlordaManreply
lemmy.world

Ah then I misunderstood what you meant with “I definitely do not think that CPC officials are diddling kids”, sorry.

-6

Yeah, I definitely don't think it's a systemic problem in CPC given that there is plenty of evidence that CPC cleans house.

10
lemmy.ml

It is now well documented that the west is ruled by pedos who are completely and utterly unaccountable. Meanwhile, the same cannot be said for CPC. Sure, there is corruption and crime in China, just like in every human society. But we see people actually being held accountable when crimes are discovered. That's the fucking difference.

6

sure bud, people in China are regularly sentenced for corruption which never happens in the west. But some internet trolls says there's absolutely no difference between the two systems so it must be true.

6

The composition of government officials in leadership positions is very different in China than other countries. More than 40% of them hold STEM related degrees. But more importantly it's not like they're exempt from the same mass surveillance everyone else is. There is no privacy, but it's generally seen as a tradeoff for security. With such intense punishments and mass surveillance, I really don't think they are.
