Yeah, that really fills in the blanks in figuring out the level of experience of everybody in the back of that truck.

My favourite part is the way he held the trigger down until he was actually physically thrown clear. Couldn't aim, but by God he was going to keep firing.

When "fire" and "hold on" are exactly the same thing, it makes sense.

He isn't trying to fire, he's trying to not die.

The gun itself is pulling his hand against the trigger, which he's holding simply cause that's how he is holding the gun.

The first thing you learn water skiing is "let go of the rope". It's a shame they don't have any warm water ports.

I remember what I learned that lesson. I think I swallowed half the lake.

I mean, yes, but he didn't manage to hold on either.

Probably gripping hard to hold on to the thing I assume

Idiots mounted the gun off-center lol. This was literally the only possible outcome

Look how new and shiny that thing is, with what looks like a screen on it! This has to be a visit from the good idea faerie that russia is just to corrupt to stop. You have to imagine at some point someone building this thing knew this would happen, but did not say a damned thing.

Yeah, I can't believe that nobody once thought to do a quick back-of-the-envelope calculation for the torque generated by recoil. There was enough to fling a grown man through the air.

4

Yeah, looks like they mounted the center of mass over the pintle, which makes sense from an engineering perspective, for anything that doesn't have massive recoil!

Russia is really providing great value with its "What air defense doing" meme collection. We've got:

  • Oil tank lid flip
  • Machine gun merry go round
  • More friendly fire than you can shake a S300 at
  • Probably more stuff I'm already forgetting

Edit: And I just realized that MG toss guy (or just the MG) is just begging to be put into a shooting stars meme.

Why waste all that energy by mounting the gun on the centerline? This way they can track (in one direction) left to right very quickly!

And you can warm your hands on the barrel afterwards!

To be fair to that guy, he almost died (and maybe will later fall out a ground floor window onto 2 bullets) and other that that did alright.

What I find funnyer is that even after being stopped the gun still wanted to spin the same way.

even after being stopped the gun still wanted to spin the same way.

The whole spindle is not quite vertical (the truck it's mounted too isn't level); it's spinning towards the low point, which is to the right of the camera view. It even reverses when momentum carries it too far.

You reached the end
