I recently found on archive this interview from 1991 talking with Trent about his views on industrial music and how Pretty Hate Machine balanced pop music and tried to bring out a sense of humanity:
Wow, what a pleasant song that was. I really miss that certain laid-back 80's-pop niche that still had some tooth and currency to it. Or something like that.
Had no idea it was later covered by anyone though, if true. Love me some covers and remixes, anyway.
Not really a cover. Dennis is just being a menace by seeing similarities that may or may not be intentional and saying it loud with the authority only a child talking out their butt can master.
