Lot of good shows airing right now.

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed. Been watching each episode as they've been released. Episode 7 was great. It really ratcheted up the tension. I'm really impressed with Tatiana Maslanyall and the supporting cast. They all they play their roles so well.

Sugar season 2 just started. On the surface it's just a neo-noir detective show with Colin Ferrell, which is right up my ally, but there is a hidden layer to it that really doesn't get fleshed out until closer to the end of the 1st season. I liked the extra layer a lot, but could understand how some people might not. If you're thinking of watching I recommend going in blind, but with the caveat that it does take a time investment before you'll know for certain if this show is for you or not. The first episode of season 2 was a bit slower than the first episode of season 1, but I'm hooked on this show.

The Legend of Vox Machina season 4. I waited till I could binge this show, because while I liked season 1, season 2 & 3 were just so-so imo (too much melodrama in to many episodes for my taste). I was really impressed with season 4 though. The new member to the group was a lot of fun, and much better comedic relief than Scanlan was imo.

Rick and Morty season 9. I know it's unpopular to admit to liking, or watching this show, ever since a vocal minority of fans ruined the reputation for the rest of the fan base, but whatever. Season 9 started off strong, as the beginning episodes of their seasons usually do. Then tapered off, as the middle episodes of their seasons often do. Still worth the watch because of the gems found each season.

Comments on any of these shows welcome and encouraged.

I enjoyed the first season of Sugar, I love noir and classic film so the endless references were great. I liked the hardboiled narration from the main character too. The extra layer, as you put it, felt completely unnecessary so we will have to see where it leads in Season 2. This is definitely not a show I'd watch week to week, though. I'll wait for the entire thing to be released before I start, as I did last time.

Ya, I completely get that. I went in blind and ended up enjoying it, but... ::: spoiler spoiler it was unnecessary. It was a perfectly good show without surprising people with a heavy sci-fi element. I was extremely surprised they introduced the twist so late in the season (end of episode 6). Very risky, a bit of a bait and switch. In fact, even now if you go to the main Sugar IMDB page it makes no obvious mentions of the twist, or its sci-fi layer. Kinda weird. :::

Binged it over the weekend after knowing of it for weeks and getting several recommendations. It was very well done and very funny. Horror elements were done well also and enjoyed the finale and looking forward to more seasons.

I loved how the humor wasn't done in a marvel way, and instead was well integrated into the story.

Watching the original Bob Newhart show. The casting is just stellar. It’s fun to see how the sets and opening credits change each season. The 70s fashion is a hoot. I’d say season 2 is the strongest so far.

New: Star City (For All Mankind spinoff, not bad), From (has its moments, looks like they're building towards a somewhat satisfying conclusion), Rick and Morty (surprisingly good for a season 9), Tip Toe (OK drama. Strong start, but gets less believable as tensions rise. Most characters show little depth beyond the archetype/stereotype/minority they represent.), The Terror (not as good as season 2)

Old: Derry Girls (Great comedy set in Northern Ireland during the troubles), Motherland (Good comedy about mothers), Paper Girls (Would be worth watching if it hadn't been cancelled after one season).

Finished season 3 of Six Feet Under last week, 2 seasons to go. Jesus Christ On Rollerblades, it was so miserable. It was like a second act of a movie dragged out into 10 hours worth of TV. I know the payoff is there so we soldiered on but pretentiousness of one of the plot lines didn’t help. My recollection of what happens later is foggy at best so I hope it gets better. Still excellent overall.

Started watching Supernatural after The Boys unsatisfactory finale, I was amazed how good Kripke's previous work is
