Overcast with a Chance of Doom - Putting the Fun back in [comic, fan edit]
"On the run from her past, Doomie finds herself living in a haunted house with four weird roommates."
This came out in the 2010s, and is from the same guy who did the "Writhe and Shine" strips posted earlier. The artist/writer eventually shifted to other work, though the comic strip archive is still online.

edit notes: added labels and background, changed from 1x5 to 2x2. this involved removing the last panel, but I think that was good bc the last panel kind of wrecked the punchline. Also, in the original, the words "funeral director" were hard to read so I had to enlarge the nameplate and re-do the wording. This resulted in top of the nameplate being a little blurry, but I think if I messed with it some more it'd just make it worse.

I have a close friend who trained as a mortician and went to funeral science school (licensing requirements vary by state). It's surprisingly interdisciplinary. Besides the practical skills of embalming and facial reconstruction, they also learned the basics of anatomy, psychology of grief, business management, and relevant legal fundamentals.
Fam was funny. Sometimes they'd give me a weird look and say: "you know, if I was going to embalm you, I'd make a quick cut here SWWWWP and another cut here SWWWP and then I'd get the vacuum tube and go FWSSSSSSSHHHHHHH!"
