Rip A24, it will be remembered for the good movies they had.

Don't forget the Kushner's are on the board.
lol you lemmings make me laugh
there's a lot of tech in films and 75M is a drop in the ocean, an experiment
an example of "AI" being used in films is the corridor crews new magic green screen filter
Wow, a Zionist and an AI apologist!
I've heard it can be used to help facilitate genocide, but I'm sure you already know that 😉
Video effects can be used to facilitate genocide?
A drop in the ocean for a very much unprofitable industry.
Well yes but the drops of useful ai are rather lovely. Like improving cervical cancer screening and video effects for movies by a24
None of its use cases are worth sacrificing the planet’s resources for data centers.
A24?! I didn't see that one coming.
75 million was all it took. They will lose that in box office sales on every movie from here on out possibly. I don't understand these kinds of decisions.
How disappointing.
WE CANT HAVE ANYTHING NICE
NO DONT TOUCH MY FUCKING FAVORITE STUDIO
Andrew Callahan (channel 5) made me suspicious of them.
Must Google ruin everything?
Oh no, not this. More AI slop to add to the Internet. It is infectious.
I love the desperation to get any profit from AI, keep ruining shit and we'll eventually be rid of you.
I’d like to think this would be about building tools like Corridor Key but they’re probably just gonna try to replace actors and writers with AI. Oh well, they had a good run.
A24 is a fantastic studio that's done an excellent job of bringing some really creative projects to fruition. Hopefully whatever this tool is, it isn't something that will replace human creativity.
Google will buy the studio after the tools are built and fire every human there except one.
That is my guess of the fruit that it will bear.
We had a good run.
Sad
yaaay more ai shit to ignore!
"BenjAImin, add MORE fingers to Barry Keoghan's character!!!"
I might get a lot of downvotes for saying this, but ai tools does not necessarily result in ai generated content (be it good or bad). We got great movies thanks to cgi and computer assisted editing. The invention of digital editing was not only good or only bad. I'm not saying ai tools equals only good things, but just hating on the technological advancements without knowing what it will results in seems kind of senseless to me.
Welcome to the Anti-AI crowd. No nuance, just mindless hate at the technology, instead of considering each use case.
Experience tells us that the intent is to replace artists, not make better art.
Saying it’s “mindless” ignores the metric ton of terrible shit the AI industry produces, the harm they’re doing to mental and planet health, and the absolute unprofitably of it all. And this is coming from a programmer that is forced to use it daily because the alternative is unemployment.
