Depressed? You should try keto.

Lots of people we know are depressed, you might be depressed. Keto is a power tool in metabolic psychiatry and should be the first leaver people try to address persistent depression.

You haven't got any citations, either. The website you linked has a research database. Click on a few on the studies and read the abstracts. It all seems very speculative and preliminary...

  • This study utilized a single-arm design without a control or dietary comparison group. Thus, it is not possible to isolate the effects of the WFKD from counseling and/or medication or to know how time alone would alter depression symptoms or cognitive performance.

I think speculative and preliminary is accurate. It's certainly something people could try.

Yup! Early days in metabolic psychiatry. But since keto is free (you got to eat anyway), doesn't require a doctor's visit, and is tolerated very well by people - why not try it first?

This is a community focused on metabolic health. There are plenty of other communities where you can tell others to try taking psychedelics for depression, but here we are primarily focused on the discussion of the various aspects of metabolic health and how they help with illnesses.

Also we'd prefer sources more credible than "the fucking internet, ffs" Psychedelics can work as adjunct therapies to therapeutic carbohydrate restriction. If you have interesting research, case studies, or testimonials to share we'd like that very much.

Can I have the peer reviewed study for OP’s claims please? Thanks in advance

No. The page itself is not a peer-reviewed scientific paper. It is an informational article published by “Metabolic Mind,” an education and advocacy initiative of Baszucki Group focused on metabolic psychiatry.

So I ask again… peer reviewed scientific studies please. Otherwise, this is misleading medical advice and should probably not be here. Unsurprisingly, I see nothing in the sidebar about “truth” being a requirement.

It is once again very clear to me that you haven't read anything on the page itself. Since you are not engaging in good faith, I see no reason to continue our conversation.

I'm removing you from the community since you don't participate in a manner that is constructive. Rule 1, Rule 2, Rule 3, Rule 4, and also because you are using an LLM. If you believe your ban to be in error, you may contact the moderation team for a review of the ban.
