Just think how the Ukrainians feel when your country launches missile strikes on schools, hospitals and residential buildings.

My sympathies are with the Ukrainians not the invading occupiers.

she moved to occupied land during an active war becoming a participant in the occupation. She does not show any empathy towards the people whose land she is occupying, yet you're asking us to have empathy for her because her occupation is not going as planned?

Nope. Read Geneva convention once again

"The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies."

Only thing I could find that's relevant, but doesn't apply since she moved there on her own accord. Mind helping me find the section you are thinking of?

Empathy is never earned

Why not?

Empathy is never earned

Why not?

Because that requires acknowledging the value and struggles of people outside yourself, and self-reflection sometimes makes people saaaad 😢

Because that requires acknowledging the value and struggles of people outside yourself

That's just an explanation of what empathy is, not an explanation as to why empathy should have no limits.

I don't understand what empathy you believe is justified here. Empathy for a supporter of the invaders? Empathy for a settler probably stealing a home from someone? Does that make sense to you?

43

She suppresses it. She's an azzhat for not feeling with Ukrainian people whose flats and houses and hospitals and schools are being bombed for four years now.

Piss off, ruzzia shill. You deceive noone.

How about empathy towards people who had theit lanf stolen. Would not empayhy meaning leaving and returning that land instead of trying to take more?

Do you really not write what you type? Because that's the only thing I can think of that would make you fuck up spelling that badly.

No.

Blame autocorrect for becoming garbage forcing it to be turned off.

if you move to a place that’s been invaded by your country you don’t deserve peace.
even in the video she said she doesn’t want to return to mainland.
i know there are good russians who oppose the invasion, but they didn’t move to crimea

Imagine how close they could be if Russia wasn't illegally invading and trying to steal land and resources? If Russia acted like a normal fucking country instead of a corrupt shithole.

Do tell us how close we were when r*ssian propaganda was allowed for 20 years, when r*tards from sevastopol always whined how they are being mistreated, how tatars became even more of a second grade citizens on their own land. How it was 'bloodless' occupation, how everyone in crimea was r*ssian speaking, do tell. I'm all ears, it's not like here are people that actually lived in crimea for whole their lives before occupation, right?

Well, most of my family died in r*ssia, so no I don't have relatives there. (there probably are some but they aren't really relatives like third cousins)

“I never thought this could happen to me.”

She moved into occupied territory during a war and thought it would be safe? Is she stupid?

50

Anyone who moved there since 2014 from russia knew what was going on. The whole "they're just separatist" was bullshit from day 1.

feddit.org

It almost sounds like satire. Like, come on, do the next step: "Oh, this is how Ukrainians must have felt during the last years. Maybe this is inhumane." Is this so difficult?

What reason do we have to think the video is not satire? There's nothing in it but a woman speaking. I can't judge her Russian, but it would probably be called out if it was suspicious. But what positive evidence is there that this person is being truthful other than it's what everyone would like to hear from Russians in Crimes.

5

Yeah we cannot tell. Propaganda is done on both sides. There have been posted many many videos like this in the last days/weeks and I cannot tell if they are legit. However I am pretty sure this sentiment exists in Russia, I can imagine they must be pretty shocked that war is coming home now, after Putin promised the opposite for so long.

4

It will end if you and your fucking military fuck off into the mainland and start paying for the damage you've caused, stupid twat.

30

Imagine your country invading another, you illegally occupy some land, and expect people to feel sorry for you because you're sad...

Oh, and the ruzzian orcs invading Ukraine are just some wanderers who enjoy the nice landscape, or what?

24

They are “soldiers” as much as you are “serious”…

Reality is they are orcs and you are wrong…

5

crimea was already settled before the russians invaded and unsettled it.
unsettlers, invaders, thieves, murderers, scoundrels, rapists, kidnappers…
soldiers have honor; you’re orcs, not soldiers
