Yes, there are cables that have usb-c on one end, and hdmi on the other. Just make sure to check the specifications and that the input is usb-c and output is hdmi. Those cables usually only go one way.

What? The question is worded confusingly.

When going from USBC to HDMI you always need an adapter because the signal from USBC is DP not HDMI.

And most USB-C to HDMI cables may appear passive, but they almost always contain a chip to do an active conversion of the signal (which also makes them unidirectional).

They're basically disguised dongles with a single purpose.

No, there is not. But there are cables with the conversion chip integrated into the cable so they arent bulky or anything.

Yes but there is a variety of cables possible, view the specifications carefully depending on which screen you are connecting to. Maybe you don’t need hdmi2.0 for example.
