Well I know what the FBI is going to be too busy with to possibly look into the new Epstien information

New Epstein information just gets funneled into the burn bag incinerator

"86 47" became a contentious phrase after former FBI Director James Comey was indicted

It's not 'contentious', it's just anti-Trump.

Reminder that “8646” was NOT contentious when MAGA was selling merchandise with that on it while Biden was POTUS.

I think this applies for both, right and left.

Extremist ideologies remain that: extreme ideologies. Again, it does not matter if left or right. You can put both in a sack and hit it. You will always hit the right one. Or do you wanna tell me that Che or RAF, idols for some leftist, were good guys and killed nobody?

Excellent examples of why insecurity is poison that will eventually consume everything you are.

4

You dare question the corporate news sewer, peasant?!

With your . . . logic and . . . reason!

10

it's just a reference to the louis jordan song that has the line '86 on the cherry pie', that was released in '47.

Solid reporting in that final paragraph.

National Park Service workers were seen roping off the area Thursday afternoon, and National Guard members appeared to be directing the public away from the grass. National Park Service workers were seen later roping off the area.

My family and I visited the Capitol building maybe four years ago and there were no fewer than 7 layers if fence between me and the door.

But what was the National Guard doing? They can’t leave it all to the National Guards! Also, we need to know who was managing the public.

The National Guard are doing more to control the scene of the lawn than they did during January 6th.

I don't think the national guard was there that day

I don't know, that looks like lazy human. Definitely rubber stamp editor (if any at all).

What about even later? Were they seen going home for the day?

Do the workers need to be rebooted? Or like, is the rope they’re using not long enough? Are they just walking laps with a too-short rope, endlessly attempting to enclose a volume they will never have a long enough rope to enclose? Just chasing the end as it moves away from them with each step?
Does their struggle represent the American dream? Is there a smug geometry teacher somewhere yelling “this is why you need to know the formula for perimeters!” at their news source?

My favorite acts of resistance are the ones that make the fascists look stupid, it's sometimes hard because they're very image conscious, but it's sometimes easy because they are in fact stupid.

And sometimes it's easy because they're very image-conscious (and stupid).

Welp, time to arrest Comey again.

Shame the rest of the digits didn't come out as clean as the '8'. This had serious T-shirt potential.

25

I'm sure a bit of photo enhancing will bring those other digits right out.

Enhance, damnit! ENHANCE!!!

Any news on how they did it?

My first thought was maybe a roundup or acid soaked towel? That could explain the pixelated look.

11

I thought roundup doesn't work on grasses? But I agree that the pixelated look suggests they couldn't directly see the process and had to map it out beforehand and follow through row by row or something.

2

It worked on my lawn, I sprayed some weed and then there ended up being a circular hole in the grass that took a year to close. And that was the last time I did that.

86 - slang meaning "get rid of"

47 - Trump is the 47th (and 45th) president of the US.

oh, thanks. 15 years in the US and I still trip on idioms sometimes. I forgot about "86" (probably because I never understood where it comes from).

There's a folk etymology that it comes from a particularly infamous speakeasy with two entrances, one on 86th street, and unruly patrons would be forcibly ejected from that entry.

Now it's commonly used in restaurant kitchens to indicate something (an ingredient or whole dish) should be thrown out

4

It's pretty old-fashioned, so no surprise! It comes from the hospitality industry, but where the term itself comes from is unknown.
