Whenever I see Hegseth, I picture Colin going, "What, you fatties!" to the generals.
"Hey Fallow, it's 25:17." I retorted as I read the transcript.
It’s weird that he thinks that “passage” justifies a country in what it’s doing. In the Bible it was God who said that, not a person. It’s like he thinks the US is equivalent to God.
Correction, he thinks he is equivalent to god.
Worse. He thinks he's the equivalent to Samuel L. Jackson!
Yea I'd rather him be equivalent to God since God doesn't exist whereas Sammy Jackson is a pretty damn cool dude
Samuel would squash him like a bug.
It's not even in the bible. What Jackson says is a mashup of multiple verses, and also, Sonny Chiba.

Islamic terrorists and republicans are much closer in their beliefs than either would like to admit.
Newsflash, mate.
In reality Pete Keg-sith is just chickenshit with make-up in a finely tailored suit.
To be fair the flag code isn't even like "real" outside of the military.
Naw, he's just a roid-raging moron.

Ugh, it's on Fallon. He's the worst host; let your guest speak.
Yeah idk he literally makes every scene he's ever been in unfunny. Jost is a legit extremely funny dude (and Michael Che too) but SNL just handcuffs so many talented comedians to do unfunny stuff for lorne michaels and fallon is the best lorne ass kisser.
SNl has been criticizes to doing super neutral inoffensive jokes about p47, and even whitewashes him a little. unlike og-madtv they are afraid of offending too many people
That's pretty much politics de jour for the last decade. Satire doesn't stand a chance.
Does Jost know that he is talking about pervasive government surveillance in this anecdote ?
The original joke that was too ridiculous to air and actually happened is an alcoholic weekend TV show host becoming defense secy and going around calling himself Secretary of War.
Or a wrestling exec becoming education secy.
Or an antivaxxer becoming health secy.
Or a washed out minor reality TV star becoming transport secy
...
Or a fucking podcast host in charge of the FBI
