Based on the license plates he regularly displays in his channel plus his comments that he lives in proximity to Chicago; he lives in Illinois.

26

He's mentioned in some videos that he lives in the Chicago area. It usually comes up when talking about electrical work in his home, since building code in Chicagoland generally requires all electrical runs in conduit.

16

Knowing nothing about him, he's got upper Midwest energy. Probably Wisconsin or Minnesota.

Hey, that looks like a demonstration of an open differential in a Nissan Cube! Seems like that would make for an excellent introduction into how a Toyota eCVT hybrid transmission functions similarly to a differential but with electric motor/generators instead of wheels.

I can never find my Bluetooth charging cable when I need it, so I keep buying new ones. Where are they hiding?

9

Someone is pulling your leg. Bluetooth is wireless so there's no charging cable. Rest the phone on the charger and it will wirelessly charge the Bluetooth.

6

They are inside your teeth hence the name "Bluetooth". You gotta crack em open to get the wires.

I dont know why but almost all my screenshots include the volume slider.

2

You're pressing the buttons in the wrong order. The volume button goes last

3

Watch his earlier videos to see the importance of comedic timing. he had similar jokes at the beginning but little comedic timing, by now he has perfected it.

Iirc he was not happy with the fediverse experience for someone with a large following, which is really too bad. He tried for a long time but got tired of the abuse.

2

I really don't think the fediverse can really work for celebrity microblogging. Corpo platforms inherently value reach and boosting popular users, while the fediverse has no profit incentive to appeal to them. It's why I always liked the idea of lemmy over mastadon: conversations matter more than personalities

5

He didn't have problems with reach he had problems with abuse, if memory serves. Some other big accounts say similar things.

I also don't think the fediverse works for someone trying to "go viral" or farm engagement or whatever.

Its unfortunate that he encountered some shitty mods, but his responses to that commenter are really ignorant. "FLOSS-brained" says it all. Jesus.

2

I think the context was him being fed up with Foss evangelists in his replies but I agree.

2

I feel like he'd make any date I go on more interesting if I could convince him to come with.
