The American Medical Association needed to discredit midwives and clever-women. Part of that campaign was legal oppression, by making things like abortion illegal. This is the birth of the anti-abortion movement in America. Not moralists, but capitalists; same as it ever was.
I had an excellent stylist with alopecia totalis. No eyebrows, hair, etc. He said his customers were his chance to play with hair. He was very good, worked at a really high end place in D.C.
I kinda miss the social aspect of having hair. I started balding in college and just bit the bullet. But I kinda wish I had a reason to socialize every other week.
