Anybody else hate it when they cough or choke on something when somebody says something and then they think that you think it's funny, but you weren't even laughing?

I just let them think I thought what they said was hilarious, but I hate the miscommunication.

It doesn’t happen often enough to „hate“ it. In fact I don’t even remember it ever happening.

So the question is: what’s wrong with you that you cough all the time when someone tries to tell a moderately funny story?

Could be a reflex. Like a nervous giggle. But a I don’t wanna laugh cough.

No when you cough or choke on something. Maybe eating or drinking or just choke on your spit.
