I've seen "you wake up with a hangover and a wedding ring, in bed with your buddy/enemy, and no memory of the previous evening" a number of times, but I agree that this trope would benefit from there also being a number of other mysteries they have to solve.
Technically the Psych episode "Last Night Gus" is the perfect example of this
