Red bean paste has always been a dessert item in East Asia. In fact, red beans in general. I think they get simmered in sugarcane juice or something similar.

You haven't had boba until you've tried beans in your milk tea.

I had cheesecake with a layer of caviar on it once from a sushi restaurant. It was sooooo good. Nice salty layer on top of cheesecake is good when done well.

Honestly a savory baked bean cheesecake would kinda slap.

ETA: A base of baked beans under a cheesecake with hints of maple, with crumbled candied bacon on top and a crust made of pork cracklins
