Sleeze: WiseIntelligent - My First Shot is about the loss of innocence and cascading events that shape a persons life. It feels like a downward spiral into the shame that specifically comes from hurting people with ignorance
Depression: My Chemical Romance - The Foundations of Decay is about giving up on trying to get better, resigning to slow death, and discovering you were never the sort of person who could improve things for yourself or other people. It feels like a personal callout to moralistic millennials.

My favorite bleak song is "We're All Made Of Stars" by Spray. It's a peppy catchy danceable synthpop tune about how little we matter, and I delight in it.
