I'm looking forward to this. The source is in my current top3.

Broadcast July 2026

After decades of war, Dias returns home as a hero and is rewarded with his own domain. When he arrives at his new lands, however, they turn out to be little more than endless grassy plains without even a single subject. Literally put out to pasture, Dias is stumped as to how to live any life other than a soldier’s. But when a horned girl named Alna crosses his path, Dias takes his first steps to being the lord of a not-so-empty frontier. (j-novel club)

The tents remind me of Lyn from fire emblem on the GBA, her tutorial mission had a similar style, or at least according to my nostalgic memory. Is it mostly slice of life or does it become more political as (if?) he builds the area up?

Dias builds the area up. There is a bit of political maneuvering happening in the source, but that's mostly done in some bonus/side chapters. The story around Dias himself is for the most part, just him building up his domain and befriending the different non-human species around him. It's very wholesome and comfy for 85% of the time. The remainder are some little adventures that happen every now and then (for example, dragon hunting or a bandit attack). Honestly, there is not much "story", but the series lives with how likable the characters are and how fun it is to watch Illuk Village grow.

What type? The one who actually reads a series before screaming bullshit? Yep. That's me.

I’ve never heard of this one before but I fucking knew it would be creep central the second I saw the kids in the poster.

MC is the guy with the axe and the 14 y/o girl with the horn is his wife.

Yeah, nah. They're engaged (as of the demon tribe's customs), but he explicitly refrains from anything physical until she comes of age (as her human custom). Literally no pedophilia in this series.

1

sigh no. Not grooming either. But y'all already made up your minds anyway, so I'll stop arguing the point.

3

You claim it's not pedophilia to be a middle aged man married to a child, alone under one roof, sleeping in the same bed, giving them alcohol, etc?

TBH idgaf how normal it is for a fucking barbarian tribe or a medieval nobleman, nor do I care the extent of the physical aspect of the relationship. This is pedophilia.
