Martin is the second person to attempt to enter Mar-a-Lago with the intent to kill the president, and the third in general. In 2024, Ryan Routh attempted to assassinate Donald Trump at the Florida estate. He was recently sentenced to life in prison. And of course, Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to kill Trump in Pennsylvania in 2024. All three were white men.

I don't know how many more trump supporters trying to kill trump it will take for people to realize he's actually losing support...

But at least they're not attacking innocent people.

There is constant mental gymnastics to pretend these MAGAs are anything but actual MAGAs.

and this is just the dumb/emotionally unregulated, acting on pure impulse as their programming breaks.

i have a feeling there are a lot more calculated killers out there waiting to see how the midterms turn out. will a wave of progressives get enough control to hold people accountable or just "business as usual"

Sometimes I overestimate how long ago something was, but I swear that was weeks ago

Well ,thanks for linking what you meant or even mentioning it.

Because surely you're just not talking out of your ass

Aggregate polling is around 40% support. The lowest I found was 38% from economist.com, but ~41% is pretty common across any aggregate you can look up yourself. NYT for example says 41% support.

For anyone confused, this article is from February 23, 2026

They left out "really bad planner" from the list.

Can you imagine the overwhelming irony if the Jan 6 "patriots" decided to march on Mar-a-lago?

Epstein literally emailing that "it's easier to pick up things on the way to collapse than find the next bargain". He was 100% stoking qanon and all crazies and he's likely not the only one with power who thinks this way.

It's becoming clear that there's an immense value in destruction given you have the power to short stuff and it's not even a secret anymore. How do we even fix something like this...

And Trump’s still got almost three-quarters of his second term to go.

Not necessarily, one of them might be successful.

11

Seems they're including some elder people on that list for merely making facebook threats? I mean sure investigate these by all means, but I wouldn't consider it a...credible assassination attempt.

Too bad these trump supporters aren’t competent at anything

12

It's hilarious that trump cult is so incompetent it can't even sabotage itself. Reality feels like satire of itself these days.

7

Now that trump has started a war there is no other distraction he can use to avoid pedophilia charges other than nuclear. That old quote by Burke about evil gaining a foothold if good people do nothing seems to be true. But this was one good person acting alone. Maybe there are more?

11

callllled it.

they're dripping the Trump-Epstein Friendship Archive (ooo, that acronyms well) until a qanon loses it makes a serious enough attempt on Krasnov that they can call it a terrorism and martial law us

One nit to pick: the guy who was just convicted and given life in prison did not make his attempt at Mar-a-Lago, but at Trump's golf course in Southern West Palm Beach (located, fittingly enough, on Gun Club Road). Mar-a-Lago does not have a golf course.

4

Lmao Trump doesn't even have his own golf course on his private estate? Didn't he realize he was such a poor

This is about the guy who was killed this year 2026 at Mar-a-Lago though not about the security incident further in the past.

In the article, toward the end, the article mentions the earlier incident and claims that that incident was also at Mar-a-Lago. Which it was not. I was referring to that bit.
