I was going to say that the gesture would likely not have been recognized in the late 1800s or whenever this might be, but I was wrong, and flipping the bird was a known insult way back in Roman times, so I am not going to say what I was originally going to and today we learned.

The two finger version of this originates in mediaeval Europe so it's been possible to swear it people with your hands for a huge amount of history. It's weird what we seem to prioritise.

As an American, I wish the two finger salute would take off over here. It's so fun to do

Fucking right?

3am on a Tuesday, I can't possibly get anything done at this time, I have all of the collective motivation I've ever managed to scrape together in my entire life hit me all at once.

Any other point in time? Fuck you, best I can do is a headache.

Horrible meme format. In other words

“Le… random expression because I can’t express anything…” [insert image]

“I can’t do anything because X” Meanwhile the rest of the world still turns… regardless…

Probably both.

The only cure for me is to just get up and fucking do it when I think about it end build a positive schedule. It leads to me being inefficient with my time because I just do shit out of order or forget things but stuff gets done. I reserve all this for the weekend tho

Yeah I wish my body would obey the get up and do it command

The Gen X (and previous gens) stare vs the Gen Z stare. Maybe daydreaming is a lost art? We didn’t have the constant access to stimulation via social media and the constantly connected internet. The Gen Z stare…no idea what causes that for some of them. Guess they can’t interact with you unless you’re a tiktok?
