YSK that FOSDEM 2026, one of the world's largest computer science meeting will happen next month in Brussels 🇧🇪 . This edition features 949 speakers and 908 events.
The vast majority of events (talks, hacking sessions, open discussions) are held inside "developer rooms" ("devrooms"), which are mini-conferences organized and managed by open source projects themselves.
It's also FREE !! 🥳

It's pretty amazing how many talks happen there.
If you're ever bored, I think they record a lot of them so you can go back and watch later. https://fosdem.org/2026/archives/
They record everything since quite some time indeed! Their recording setup is quite impressive as well, and also open source iirc
Finally a decent ysk.
I think it is open source software development conference, not a computer science event. Unless I am missing something.
I really enjoy the conference and the talks in there, been watching their talks since college.
hope I can join irl at some point. sadly it's too far from here, can't afford it now :/
Geographical beard density will be high.
We'll be there! Looking forward to it.
