Well well well if it isnt the consequences of my actions. Conservatives fought tooth and nail for the right of bigots to refuse to bake a cake for LGBT couples and now that a bakery is kicking out cops for being armed they're like "wait not like that"

Note that, unlike LGBTQ, being armed is not a protected class. If a protected class can be refused service by a bakery, then so can a non-protected class.

One of our officers was denied service last weekend because he was in uniform. Reem’s confirms that they will not serve anyone armed and in uniform. Presumably, this includes members of the US Military.

Wow, police unions can't make an actual argument, every fucking time. Not only did they ignore the message, they also made a false equivalency and an emotional plea and compared themselves to the military.

As ex military, it's insulting to refer to a weapon as part of the uniform, it's not. We weren't allowed a weapon in our own chow halls. Police seem to have no weapon discipline at all.

Agreed, it would be odd to see armed military at an off base donut shop. In uniform sure, under arms? Somethings super wrong.

Wow that paragraph explains a LOT about the way police see themselves and where they think their authority comes from.

To serve armed people. Police just don't get special treatment.

Just goes to show, cops see cops as just badges and guns. That's the problem.

Why can't these newspapers get it through their heads that all actually Latino people hate the "word" Latinx with a passion?

9

I'm actually Latino and I don't hate Latinx. I feel it comes from a good place and I also feel genderless language is important.

Seems like it wasn’t written by a Latino.
