I was at a publix buying a cake some years ago and the guy scanning it flipped the whole fucking thing upside down to scan the barcode underneath. It was a cake massacre

If this was reddit is assume he just paid and typed up a post about it in the parking lot. But maybe this guy isn't a weird schmuck.

Are you saying I should get a sharpie, chop it up and use the chopped up bits as decoration? I like that idea tbh.

Just make sure you use a blue sharpie like he said. I've tried using a green one and it just makes a giant mess.

Eh, it's all still there, I'd still eat it. Take a slice, scrape off the cream thing and put it right back on.

Wait, so they dusted it with cocoa powder and then put those frosting dollops on top of that? The lid might have been the only thing holding those in place.

I now assume cake comes from a shell like a scallop. Those are its teeth. It must cost extra to have the teeth removed.

It's funny when you just have to write 5 words but then you still mess it up. You had 5 jobs!

If you use a putty knife (or something similar) you could probably scrape them off mostly intact and reapply them.

If you have time and room in the freezer, sticking it in there for an hour or so first will make it easier to remove the icing blobs in one piece.

'mildly' infuriating would be an understatement
