White Face, highest in overall score 2 years in a row, almost lost to a newcomer, and has been outscored by Morepork and Little Owl in this year's games so far. Short Ear is coming in strong after quickly dispatching the Barking Owl.

With a good win under its wing and so many wins for lower seeded birds, Short Eared fans should be feeling some extra confidence. Shortie is a bold and beautiful owl that would look great as a champion.

Even with a soft start, one must not take White Face lightly. This owl is dangerous when it comes to OotY. It looks sweet, but has killer instincts. That silver plumage, those orange eyes, and that moustache are a deadly combo to so many would-be champions.
