Norris ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Couldn't have done it in a more difficult way ๐Ÿ˜…

I've complained about Norris's race craft before, but that double overtake was slick.

Stroll on fire with the P10 to get Aston Martin one point ahead of Racing Bulls in the constructors'.

I was wrong. VCARB is ahead. F1TV commentators misled me.

troedreply

Really? Damn the Swedish Viaplay commentators really missed that

1

Well, he could have backed out. (Which would have been safer)

With this ruling FIA says that that's not required.

I gotta say that during Max's resurgence I was seriously debating not renewing my subscription for next year. I was just bored of the entire sport even though everything is so close and it's much more thrilling than those dominant seasons we've become used to.

I'm sort of excited for today's event but I'm not 100% sure I'll be along for the ride next year. You get maybe 6 interesting races, the rest is all just processions that take a couple of hours.

9

Next year is the biggest regulation change in decades. DRS will be gone. There'll be another team on the grid, or two really with Audi. And the first year of a set of regulations is always crazy cool imo. Development race will be wild, we'll have many different aero concepts at the start, the new engines will probably have reliability issues for a while...

Of all the times to stop watching, this one I can't really understand. If course if what you want is tons of overtaking and wheel-to-wheel then there is no guarantees, but when was that ever guaranteed in F1?

6

I'm glad I don't pay for it, I definitely wouldn't have stuck around in 23 but hopefully the new regs don't lead to the same thing happening again

3

Four racing laps to go, utterly tedious in the podium places for almost the entire race but some exciting battles going on down the field!

7

Tsunoda's now the one ahead of Norris. Japanese minister of defenseโ„ข๏ธ activated.

Hopeful, but resigned to the obvious. It'd take a fuckup of monumental proportiona for lando to lose this one.

6

Yeah we basically need three cars to be faster than Lando. Even if Max wins and Russel gets second (not unthinkable), McLaren will just ask to swap positions if Piastri is third. So we'll need another podium crasher and I just can't see it.

Lawson does love a 5 second penalty for causing a collision, doesn't he?

Given how many drivers have been hated by fans for driving reckless, I wonder why Lawson isn't more unpopular

5

Yeah I don't really get it either. I think he got some sympathy from how fast and unceremoniously he was booted out of Red Bull, and maybe that lingers a bit?

2
feddit.nu

Alonso is going to back up the whole grid to give Stroll a free pitstop ๐Ÿ˜‚

4

He sadly didn't have enough time to do it before Stroll's tires fell of a cliff

3
lemmy.ca

I really hope lando doesnt botch this. It almost seems like hes nervous to try and be around the top 2

3

It's a little bit boring, but it's the safe way to do it. Just cruising to 3rd should be very easy for him and that's all that's needed.

6
feddit.nu

Not surprised the stewards didn't want to penalize Norris there. Will Red Bull file a complaint?

Again?? Same happened in Brazil.

Haven't heard of any investigation regarding it.

1

I can see Lando getting a 5 second penalty, which would really mess up any team order options for McLaren.

2

or better, 5 sec penalty coming after the WDC is given to Norris.... more drama

Brave overtake. Lando needed that pass on Antonelli (again).

2
LCPreply

That double overtake on Stroll and Lawson wow.

4

Lawson had no DRS, but still for it being Lawson it was quite non-defensive

1
lemmy.world

There is no way in hell that Lando get pennalty. He can do whatever he want, stewards(most of them british) have his back. This is the situation if you play in world cup final and referee is your fan.

-2

if you look at how Tsunoda behave vs Norris and vs Leclerc it was wrong behaviour with Norris.
