How do I run two programs in the same Lutris instance?

I'm using lutris to run Guild Wars and I'd also like to run guild wars toolbox which needs to be run after guild wars has already started.

I tried running guild wars and toolbox as different lutris installs but toolbox cant see the guild wars process.

Does anyone know how this can be done?

"Run EXE inside Wine prefix"

It might not work, though. I've tried to use a similar tool with Snowrunner, it found the process, but didn't actually work.

Just tried this and it did open toolbox but toolbox got an error. I'm going to try make a script to launch them together.

I'm not sure if this'll work, but you could try to set the wine prefix to the same base dir for both of them.

Just duplicate your GW entry and then configure it and point the executable to your other program. Then just run it like you would any other game.

You can even put a custom graphic and edit the name.

Running tools/secondary programs/etc like this alongside your game in the same instance is like the last major headache/roadblock for gaming on linux, with all the solutions available not being foolproof enough to work 100% fo the time.

Hopefully within another year or two this more minority issue will be addressed and resolved, like general gaming issues have been.

I ended up using Bottles for a similar usecase, because I couldn't get it to work properly in Lutris.
