I never thought I'd see this happen in the U.S. in my lifetime. It's a matter of time before people start shooting these assholes.

Ends? This is just the beginning of fascism. Buckle up, it's gonna be a hell of a ride!

People have been acquitted for killing cops who busted into the wrong house.

Sure, but I'd like to see some statistics. Percentage where the cops won such cases, and where the home owner won. And how all that compares to the opposite case: cops accidentally killing home owners.

I think the more important statistic is not the ration of won/lost court cases but alive/dead homeowner after a gunshot. Being right is nice but being alive is kinda important.

And when it does start happening they declare martial law.

Is there a functional difference between what's happening and martial law?

Exactly. They are chomping at the bit for a reason to do that, and actively trolling us into it. Not to invoke Godwin's Law, but there is precedent here.

There is no way this is actually legal. I know the law doesn’t apparently matter anymore but I would be really surprised if ICE can just bust down a door without a search or arrest warrant for a crime.

There is no way this is actually legal.

Even before Trump, a lot of what "normal police" did could be characterized in this way - this is "just" the next step.

But yeah, no, it's not legal even in the US. Until it turns into a full autocracy and the leaders have unmitigated power to define what is.

Yet they're still doing it on a daily basis (kudos to @CubitOom for sharing all those videos) with the DHS' support.
