There should also be one billionaire who just made another billion

Christ, you all are trying really, really hard to push voters back into the Republicans' waiting arms.

The only thing Donald did not lie about was the immigration crackdowns. He lied about literally everything else, so yes, the vast majority of Republican voters last year did not support what's happening now.

What they voted for was a lower cost of living, same with the people who elected Democrats this week. If Democrats want to win next year, you will hop on the economic populist train and stop this stupid finger wagging.

-17

That's hilarious. He made it very, very clear that he was lying constantly. The only way to ignore that was willful denial of reality. His promises were meaningless slop. And they should've known that. There is no excuse, he was already president once.

Very few people are actually swing voters. Most people are born into a party and vote for that party their whole life. The idea of deciding who to vote for based on the issues is as foreign a concept to them as deciding which religion they like the best and joining it.

Not when your grocery bills, rent, and everything else have tripled in just a few years. (But not your wages, of course.)

That creates a lot of swing voters, and it's how Donald was able to build his coalition in 2024. Harris' policy position on it was "I won't change anything."

People forget that turnout is a thing. To win an election you don’t have to convert the other party’s voters to your side, you just have to convince them to stay home when your voters are turning out to vote.

5

Harris did an excellent job of that too, with the whole 'I wouldn't change a thing' messaging, because of course Genocide Joe's ego is the most important consideration when fascism's on the ballot.

You keep repeating this quote but you're either misinformed or lying about the context. I'm not saying what she said had good optics, I am saying what she said isn't what you're claiming.

1

She said exactly that, when asked what she would change: "Nothing comes to mind."

Dumbest politician ever.

-1

Which she should have done, but she had more allegiance to the party and its billionaire donors than she did to the working class.

voting is rigged so no one technically gets the day they voted for except the ones owning the voting machines

-34

If the machines are rigged in favor of one candidate, then the people who actually voted for that candidate still do get what they voted for. But the voting population as a whole doesn't.

Until that is a proven fact, we need to show up and vote. Speculation isn’t fact, and neither is numerology.

You could just vote with paper and actually count. You don’t have to use machines owned by lobbying multibillionaires.

Ok and what do you propose about people who will lie about their count because there's always going to be that shit

1

You count the votes in public in front of representatives of all parties?

We’ve been doing this shit for literal millennia, sometimes side by side with people you were fighting just a few weeks before. It’s not fucking rocket science. My country will happily send observers and instructors if you need help figuring this democracy shit out. So will pretty much any other country in the UN.

You guys need to get this shit sorted, pronto.

It’s not pedantic to insist that your democracy is predicated upon a simple and easy to audit mechanism. In fact, it’s essential.

It’s how many advanced democracies do it. Electronic voting is just the illusion of modernity.

6

Pedantic to mention it because “showing up” can be a term for “doing it” and doesn’t literally mean a physical presence at a voting boot.

who did own the machines

Dominion Voting Systems Corporation was a North American[2] company that produced and sold electronic voting hardware and software, including voting machines and tabulators, in Canada and the United States.[3] In 2025, Scott Leiendecker purchased the company under a new company called Liberty Vote.

who now own the machines

Our Promise.

My Fellow Americans,

Today, I am proud to announce Liberty Vote — a 100% American‐owned election technology company dedicated to restoring trust in our elections. Our mission is clear: every vote must be secure, fair, and verifiable.

I have spent my life working to strengthen America's elections. That commitment began years ago, in the aftermath of the 2000 election, when I worked for the Missouri Secretary of State. Later, as Election Director in St. Louis, I led the effort to modernize outdated systems and rebuild public trust. Eventually, I founded an election technology company that today serves nearly one in four voters nationwide.

With Liberty Vote, we are building on that legacy. We are turning the page and beginning the vital work of restoring faith in American elections. While these changes will not happen overnight, Liberty Vote's mission is rooted in American values and committed to transparency, independent audits, and verifiable paper records.

Our purpose is simple: to ensure that America's elections are secure, fair, and honest.

Scott Leiendecker

Founder and Chairman, Liberty Vote

I’m not reading that because you don’t understand my comments. The direction you are going with this is not at all the intended direction of the comment. You are changing the conversation into something else because you do Not comprehend.

-1

Nooo it's not rigging it's "gerrymandering" and we weren't bribed to allow that it's "lobbying."
