Overly aggressive refreshing

Wish the app maintained state better. For example, making a post and popping out to browser to copy some text. Often when I return, the Voyager intro screen appears like a cold app start and I'm thrown out onto Home feed, losing my post draft.

Also when momentarily popping out, feed position is lost with forced refresh. This also occurs if I'm in a post and return.

I believe this is mostly due to Android clearing the app from system memory. I have had some improvement by exempting Voyager from power management.

On my device the steps are Settings -> Battery -> App Battery Usage -> Voyager -> expand Allow background usage -> check Allow background usage and select Unrestricted

(The exact steps may be different on your device)

This should keep Android from clearing the app memory when you briefly open another app, but it could increase battery usage. You will want to remember to always close the app when you are done using it

I'll have to check for consistency, but it doesn't seem to happen nearly as often with Summit (or at all). I'm trying Jerboa and Interstellar was working well before an unrelated glitch put that app on pause.

Edit: Just checked and background usage was already on, so I think it's app-related.

I definitely have the same problem with summit (that's why I checked this post). I will try the battery saving options, maybe it helps.

This happens to me often on iOS too. Doubly frustrating that I have yet to be able to find the post again using the Search feature.

Yes! I love this app but accidentally swiping back while scrolled down in the food totally loses position. Would love a confirm box or option to return <3

I've not issues with leaving the app and losing state, that could be an OS influenced thing I believe? Aggressiveness of memory clearing, or something maybe
