Alternative headline: Powerful CEO crippled by his own actions, wonders why he would do this to himself.
Edit: Basic economics is only true for rich people. For poor people, it's an ineffable mystery never to be solved.
“CEO of company that produces cheaply made, sub-standard products realizes he underpays his staff”?
Before anyone brings up how Ford himself paid his factory workers twice the average wage...
It came with strings:

Which, considering he was a Nazi, would be like if Musk ran a similar system today.

Not just any nazi. Hitler himself had a picture of Ford IN HIS OFFICE.
From Wikipedia: Hitler said, "I regard Henry Ford as my inspiration," explaining his reason for keeping a life-size portrait of Ford behind his desk.[88][83]
A life sized portrait? That really dials it up a notch.
This is just insulting. The three jobs bullshit started more than a decade ago you ignoramus. This is no epiphany, this is simply speaking to the paupers. Actually infuriating.
It's crazy when they tell on themselves how out of touch they really are.
Reminds me of the old reality show 'Undercover Boss', and the whole premise of the show was CEO's realizing how tough their workers' lives were, and the people they interacted with got prizes in the form of gifts to demonstrate the CEO's empathy and how caring they supposedly were.
Disgusting stuff.
"I almost felt bad for them, but then one day during their stupid leftist mandated lunch break I noticed one of them eating an avocado! The gall! Tell me you're working three jobs and then eat an avocado! Just skip the avocado and you can actually save money! The young are so entitled and completely out of touch with reality..."
"So I changed company policy to include working more than one job to be a fireable offense. Problem solved"
I know the date on this and I swear I saw a very much similar article a long time ago. So what has been different at Ford since then?
Will they invest in their own training programs???
Will they back benefit increases???
GTFO
Too bad he can’t do anything about it to help the workers. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_v._Ford_Motor_Co.
