All these European liberal Zionists suddenly trying to save face by "Recognizing Palestine*" are honestly more loathsome than the honest ziofascists who are open about their genocidal intentions.

*On the condition that Palestine fully surrenders, and fully submits to Israel.

this is why i have more face value trust with non-maga republicans and libertarians; they're atleast more honest with themselves and realistic about reality than democrats or liberals.

I don't know that much about US politics, but I remember the shock, when many people voted for PiS because “at least it's not PO and they surely won't implement all those ridiculous policies” and after being voted in, the politicians actually started implementing those ridiculous policies

the only thing you have to know about US poltics is that this literally happens literally every single time between democrats & republicans and that americans are generally unaware that democrats had solidified republican's ridiculous policies the last time around.

atm, there's no greater example of this than the deportations that are currently happening under trump; american liberals/democrats are unaware that biden and obama have deported more people than trump ever has (even with ICE raids and the detention centers like gator alcatraz) and that was was a policy that the republicans started.

Where can I read more about it?

2

run a google search for "deporter in chief" to read about obama's legacy in this regard

then add "children" to it to learn how the obama administration targeted children with A LOT of them no having legal counsel; no parents/guardians; nor even the ability to defend themselves because they couldn't speak english or understand what was happening to them in court.

then replace "children" with "trump" and you can see how they compare with each other.

We can shit on Prévot all day long but he has been consistent in supporting Palestine since forming a government.
He's a centrist with no teeth who aligned instantly with the Right to access the gov, so it has taken a while to get done, but I can respect he did not let it go when the Right did not want to recognize Palestine at all.

Keep in mind that they aren't actually going to recognize Palestine; they've deliberately placed conditions on recognition (which is fucked up to start with) that are not going to be fulfilled:

Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot said the recognition would happen only after Hamas releases all Israeli hostages and no longer manages Palestine

Yes I know. I did not expect them to do anything but continue to support Israel anyway, so any kind of gesture is better than nothing.
I would have preferred a real recognition and a real push to do anything to stop it. But like I said they have no teeth so I'm surprised he bites this "hard"

Is it better than nothing though? Or is it just trying to placate the domestic outcry?

It certainly is better than signing new armament deals with them. It may be a facade for their voters, but I'll take a symbolic gesture where the issue is talked about instead of criminalizing things like "Palestinian Action" (as they do in the UK) any day.

3

That's true; doing too little is definitely better than actively doing more harm like some countries (such as the UK) are doing.

How does that even work?

We recognise you, but only if you immediately un-recognise yourself.

What a fucking joke.

The best term I've heard for it is pre-emptive land acknowledgement.

So before when you said that it wasn't genocide, then it wasn't genocide; but now when you say that it is genocide, it is now genocide.

It is so fucking hard for these bastards to just say, in as many words, "we were wrong before" rather than just pretend that they never said it wasn't genocide.

14

Anything that isn't sanctioning the shit out of Israel won't be effective. If Belgium, Canada, UK, etc. were serious, all trade would be cut to Israel until they stopped the genocide

11

Lol how can they prevent it 2 years after it started and they did nothing about it. Sick fucks.

You reached the end
