Beainy filed the suit in Fayette County on April 16 against Iyad Abuelhawa, also known as Eddie Hawa. Hawa started the original Trump Burger restaurant in Bellville.
In the Fayette County lawsuit, Beainy claims he paid Hawa $65,000 for the 50 percent stake in the business. Beainy’s partners, Bart and Dana Blakelock, filed an affidavit supporting Beainy’s claim. They say Hawa agreed to the purchase on or about Jan. 22, 2025, and that the money was received by Hawa in March. Hawa has since filed a counterclaim, alleging that there was no written contract. Hawa is seeking $1 million in damages. That case is pending in court.
