If it's a group of people saying they can help trans kids then it's "social contagion", but when it's a societal norm of hatred and oppression towards trans people pressuring them to stay closeted then hey, that's nothing to do with society, it's just the standard default.

have they considered that maybe there are undesirable social conditions for being a woman that is making people that otherwise would be on the fence transition out of knowledge that they wont won't be that much more hated by society. (as in trans men probably don't have as much visible societal hatred towards them as trans women)
