The clink of anything unexpectedly bumping my teeth is unrealistically disturbing.

I was lucky, i was slow and steady, yet fully unaware of my teeth, so while it didn't hurt I burnt myself

The notion of burning yourself with tea confused me for a minute.

The rim shape of glasses can have a surprising effect on how we perceive flavor and temperature even if it’s not bonking you in the teeth and drenching you.

The rims of my tea mugs are flared outward and if I try to tilt it back too far or take too big a drink it pushes my bottom lip down and spills down my front. You’d think I would have adapted after ten years of owning them, or at least bought new ones, but this is a daily struggle.

Especially in a world of adult-marketed sippy cups, I respect your struggle. If it ever becomes too much, those would make charming additions to a mosaic.

I drink it warmer than others so it just hurt like fuck, but nothing more

That's a bummer! Do you have a favorite tea mug? I'm still looking for the perfect one, needs to be big and wide but those are usually a little bit too thick at the same time.
