The article says, "caught in the crossfire". They were afraid to report what can be seen clearly, the cop aimed at her with purpose.

Something like 9 reporters have been shot with rubber bullets.

After watching this video, it doesn't feel like they're accidents.

Hit by the rubber bullets. All on their own it seems from that title

Agreed. What a weird way to phrase “Member of Press Deliberately Shot by Stasi for Lol’s”.

Media raising the passive voice to an art form.

There were no consequences for the cops that did it during the 2020 protests, so why would this time be different?

One journalist even died from her injuries and nobody even got named for that one.

33

The cops are hopeful that they won't have to go another 5 years without regularly shooting journalists and women in the back for fun.

2

Ugh.

"hit by rubber bullet"

You mean deliberately aimed at while reporting and not causing a disturbance of any kind and then fucking shot at, right? You mean intentionally targeted and shot at for no reason, right? You mean assaulted because police are fascist pigs, right?

25

The cop did that because he knows there is no accountability for doing so. He thought it'd be cool, so he did it.

now its on file, America has turned into a fascist terrorist regime.

Has been for awhile friend. Look up the Kent State massacre. The MOVE bombing. Trail of Tears.

It's always been this way.

i mean yeah sure, but its now so in your face that even right wingers have to recognize this... right?

Right wingers would support each one of the things listed, so if anything they’re getting excited about this

"This incident serves as a stark reminder of the inherent dangers journalists can face while reporting from the frontlines of protests, underscoring the importance of their role in providing vital information."

Man, why don’t you just thank the friggin’ cop.

This is too short of a gif. The longer video shows true intent.

Yeah, when I posted this the extended longer video appeared at the top of the page on load. They've since added more videos, so now the footage of the reporter being shot with a rubber bullet is video 3 (or there's just the YouTube link in the post body which is better quality anyway).

2

No worries, at this point most of us who care have seen it dozens of times already. But it is just so weird that they do that stuff after the fact. I mean, unless it's an updated, live thing. I get that, but why split a video into a bunch of short gifs? Is there a modern psych thing that says it's easier to take in or something?

2

Journalist AND foreign?

Surprised that's not worth 2 shots at least!

/s just in case it wasn't obvious...

You reached the end
