[meta] The community voted to make [email protected] the next home for football on Lemmy.
By a very slim margin, most people voted to make ![email protected] the next destination for this community.
@[email protected] and @[email protected] will step in as moderators of the community.
I'll set up a new LiveThreadBot for the community in the coming days.

Hello,
Thank you! Would you like to be a mod there too?
I think 2 mods are more than enough for c/football already. Let me know if you want the files for the logo/banner of the community.
Sounds good thanks ! Let's see if we need to make the thread bot a mod once you set it up
Thanks for the information. Sad to see this community shut down. Thanks for running the place well.
Thanks, I'm sure it will carry on as usual on ![email protected] 🙂
I missed this announcement. No wonder there is no football news in my feed 🥲
better hurry. the transfer window slams shut soon!
Why does this community keep hopping around?
Edit: Oh I see, because the insurance is sitting down. Why wasn't there an option to move it to lemmy.world? There used to be a football community there, before it moved here.
Unlucky turn of events.
It's not the only one, you can find a list of communities moving from lemm.ee on https://lemmy.world/post/30859458
Most of the active crowd of the community seems fairly opposed to going back to lemmy.world, they also voted to leave it in the first place.
