Doesn't DRM often get removed after a game wanes in popularity as it's no longer worth the price to keep up the Denuvo license?

But a game doesn't have to be on GOG to not have DRM.

So not exactly a hell freezing over situation, more of a blue moon?

It still infects the vast majority of Sega and Ubisoft titles, despite their age.

2

These days companies have started removing them after a year, since denuvo went to subscription route over a one time fee.

Denuvo specifically costs money as it's some kind of subscription so from what I understand most games will drop denuvo one day or another the moment it costs more than the cost of piracy, which is probably once the wave of initial sales has passed.

One can only dream! Hopefully the hell freezes so they remove Denuvo :(

That's weird. Is there any official announcement? My only fear is that people purchase the game and then get locked out of it for some reason.

Remember when helldivers did this then Sony made them re-implement the region lock, making people unable to play the game they bought?

Please if you live on the other side of the wall just wait for empress, if she even still alive, to do her thing or for denuvo to be removed.

I think empress retired bro.

Last thing I heard she was doing self harm to herself allegedly and shut her telegram server down
