My yard sounds like constant white noise because of cicadas.
They're staying in the hills away from the house so it's not as bad as it could be, but this is basically all you hear during daylight hours right now.

Those things aren't bad in the woods, it's in town where it becomes torturous. It's like the sounds are made specifically to be reverberated by wood housing, amplifying the sounds to 270,000 dbl.
