Second, humans like chewing on things like crunchy potato chips. Imagine if you had long pointy fangs, wouldn't it be satisfying to sink your teeth into something like cardboard?
One thing I really miss about the old place is the very specific cat pic communities. R/thecatisastapler was a favorite.
We'll just have to curate a new cat picture community, with blackjack, and hookers.

The fixed eye contact makes me think the cat is sending a message, "I require snacks, or else".
Why do so many cats like doing this?
