The joke is that the "heavily reinforced security fence" is just a bunch of boards and "without a scratch" in that same vein is the oh so tough cbertruck taking serious damage from a couple boards.
Those aren't boards, they're hollow plastic. Same stuff they make the white plastic chairs out of.
They were far too springey to be made out of wood, which was what I initially thought.
If they were a real security fence and had an I-Beam core, this would have looked slightly different.
This is a dumb joke. Radiators are extremely fragile and that would have happened to any vehicle without adequate protection.
