Physical leap, startled, or time travel?

Literally this afternoon I jumped as high as I could to see if I could touch the ceiling. I could not.

check out Mr Big Shot over here with the high ceilings

The ceilings are normal. He's actually Mr Small Shot

I went to year 1194 and saw some Turkish guys arguing about some grey men. Later Time Interference and Time Travel Society (TITTS) seized my travel card.

Does bounding up the stairs count? I definitely get air and I do it almost every time I go up stairs. I average about 20 flights of stairs a day.

About fifteen minutes ago.

The third and fourth stairs leading to my second floor are rotted out and I’m too lazy to replace them so it’s a couple times a day.

Literally a couple hours ago because my coworker asked the same question.

6

This afternoon, while walking through a parking lot with my toddler. We had to avoid the cracks.

Last time I went down the stairs at my apartment complex. Accidentally started going down on the wrong foot and wouldn't land on the correct foot when I got off the stairs, so I jumped the last couple. Long story short, in my case it's an autism thing more than any actual issue, so that is why I jumped.

I don't quite remember, but sort of like... 8 hours ago while traveling go work in a company bus.

The driver was going quite fast and didn't notice a speed bump. Shortly, he became a pilot.

Ah fuck it, lets simplify it. 5 seconds ago. There you go.

Almost every day. Whether I'm skipping a step, avoiding a puddle, panic-flailing away from a sudden pile of dog shit, or trying to grab something from a too-high shelf in my small apartment, living in Brooklyn means you're idiot-floating more often than not

January, i friend was out of town for two months and the battery of his car was dead, fortunately I had my cables in the trunk of my car

Last Thursday I jumped up onto a ledge at the office to take better pictures of the vaulted ceiling. We're renting out the space so my boss asked me to take pictures.

My sister asked if I'm tall enough to touch the ceiling. My hand was wet and I left 3 fingerprints up there.

Can you jump and touch your head to the doorway? My kids used to challenge each other to that.

The cat suddenly parked itself on the stairs. Some day, she'll cause serious harm. Until then, pet, pet you cute assassin.

Our cat has been trying to kill us for 21 years. He wasn't feeling well recently, but after a vet visit and meds, I knew he was feeling better as soon as he darted across my path and I almost tripped.

3

maybe half an hour ago, when i jumped into bed. before that, i jumped up or over a few ledges on my walk home from work. wild to me that anyone is citing a timeframe longer than a day to be honest,

2

I go bouldering and do a lot of dynos, so I regularly jump. Last time was special though it was yesterday when I was at amateur wrestling for the first time as the Shrieking Spud

2

I did a little skipping out today. It's a signal to my dog that we get moving along.

2

Summer last year, getting into a private/walled off area I wanted to explore. (That was a ~2m drop onto some stairs so getting out was much harder than getting in haha)

2

To get out of someone's way in a store today. Not really a jump, more like a hop.

2

Can't remember. I have done some things that might be considered a hop. To avoid puddles or slick spots on sidewalk or mud.

2

I was trying to see if I would become a billionaire if I jumped in an X like Musk. Hasn't worked yet

2

Oh, I call it leaping. Quantum leap. It's been almost 10 years. Decided to settle down and live out this life.

2

I almost always skip the last 3 steps of my stairs on the way down.

You mean intentionally left the surface I was on, or do you mean jumped as in got startled?

I've jumped around a lot.. ADHD makes it tricky for me not to be bouncy, sometimes

Been startled, though? It's been a good while..

I jump at least few times per month, when I walk with my dog in random places. Most often over small river in my area I think.

2013-ish? My ex-spouse was really into that. They went on to get certified, I did my 3rd or 4th solo jump (still had main and reserve coaches, but not a tandem jump), and decided that it didn't mean enough to me to keep spending money on it. My ex-spouse ended up embezzling a lot of money from our joint account to pay for their jumping habit; they bought a container, main and reserve canopies, and a custom jumpsuit, and then tried to to stick me with the credit card debt for it in the divorce.

Yesterday on my bike. managed a few jumps and even a wall-ride transition.

strange question, though - is this a euphamism from 'the kids' I don't know about?

1

Probably some minor hops here and there, but my last serious jumps were while skiing in a mascot, to get some photos, weekend before last :)

1

Yesterday. My kids and I like to imitate awkward game/MMO character movements so there's a lot of random jumping.
