He has a PhD in clinical psychology, and worked at his father's practice for a number of years. And he's just bald, not a skinhead, as far as I know.

That's a good point. The vibes given of by both him and other Republicans are almost always "I don't need to know anything about this topic, I'm right because of this one thing I think I know but probably am wrong about even that!"
