I've heard the notion before that mushy peas are the British guacamole. It only reinforces my headcanon, that it's being served with chili and what the British call "chips". 🙃

on first glance i thought this was fries with guac and gravy.

and i assumed this was an american bragging about being free cos 'we can eat junkfood and watch football' or something.
