This dish is so common it's got tons of names, the only thing even vaguely Nebraskan about it is the name, and even that is a shortening of an older German name for it.

English ppl call that a pasty. Cubans call it an empanada. I call them all delicious.

Runza's are delicious, but if you're in the area, don't sleep on the burgers. Runza makes the best burger you can get in a drive through. A Runza burger and a side of frings is heaven to me.

Those look amazing, but I'm totally not driving 9 hours to Omaha to get some. Will try various variations though.
