Doesn’t even have the straps engaged….pathetic insert Skinner meme

17

No need to switch from comfy mode to speed mode for a regular Walmart trip.

3

One strap is engaged. That's honestly as, or maybe more, strange as the cape.

You know... Only true Trump supporters get a Trump tattoo on their taint. Spread the word.

Fuck it, all the cool ones get Trump Stumps. Right on the mushroom.

11

TRUE Drumpf supporters get it tattooed on both eyeballs so it's both painful and shows their dedication, AND will be permanently visible for all to see for years to come because there is NO WAY they'll ever regret the decision of backing a businessman that bankrupted 3 casinos.

9

If I was naked in public and that was my only option to cover myself, I'd just stay naked. Much less embarrassing.

57

I will never fully understand why people have made this their entire identity.

Usually because their life sucks, through some combination of the shitty societal things like corporate greed that effects us all, as well as their own failings, like not trying in school, being an asshole so they don't have freinds etc.

And instead of accepting they are somewhat responsible for their own life, putting in the emotional labour of Introspection, admitting their mistakes and working hard to correct them, they listen to the guy on the TV who tells them everything bad about their life is actually because of the liberals and the illegals and trans people, and if we can just stop them, then all their problems will be fixed and Trump is the guy that's going to stop them, so they worship Trump because that's easier than helping themselves.

47

Yeah, I started reading that comment thinking I’d come up with some snarky comment relating it to the conservatives in my extended family or whatever. But then by the end I just felt deflated.

5

Imagine someone with no personality whose life is so miserable the closest thing they can tell to joy is making other people as miserable as they are. Adding to what @gmtom said...their life is very likely shitty, and some shyster tells them it's everyone else's fault and he should blame minorities. The only way he thinks he can make his life better is by actively making other people's lives worse.

...and buy a bunch cheap march promoted the figurehead who fills his mind with such trash

5

probably not as bad as when you see people like this wearing a trump cape in other countries outside of America . At least their weirdos are doing it with relevance.

19

Kinda like that homer meme where he's bunched all his fat behind him to impress marge. It's just waiting to burst...

10

Kinda sucking right now, since you asked. We're hopeful it's going to get better soon, though.

"Remember, your new running mate can only be two letters different from your last running mate, because we got a deal on the new flags."

I seriously wonder if this is the criteria they went with.

13

Unfortunately not. JD Vance has strong ties to Project 2025. He would be the point man for that in a Trump admin, because nobody trusts Trump to not fuck it all up.

At least they’re warning us they’re not worth interacting with.

Feel bad for any workers who are forced to though.

At least they’re warning us they’re not worth interacting with.

Yep. Trump merch of any kind, thin blue line flag or sticker, tread on me sticker, 3%er sticker, preamble to the constitution window tint, cybertruck, blacked out US flag window tint, NRA sticker, confederate flag sticker, anything at all that indicates support for Republicans...

I thank them all for so proudly ensuring that I will be able to spot and avoid them in nearly any circumstance. Life is just so much nicer.

11
lemm.ee

Hell at this point even the US flag makes me think "Trump fan ahoy".

7

I only didn't list it because I just couldn't bring myself to do so. All by itself maybe not, but paired with any single one of the others - yup!

4
lemm.ee

Heard someone say something similar about folks that display a Confederate flag. It's a fine marker to identify those that are both mean and stupid.

9

How dare you make fun of their heritage... They wanna kill for and die for the 1% slavers elites just like their ancestors did!

3

This is what happens when you turn politics into two sided shit slinging, team red v team blue, us vs them, my favorite football team vs their shitty rival.

19
lemmy.world

I suppose so, but we usually only see this level of fanaticism from one of the sides, and it happens to be the side that turned politics into a massive clown show.

Well, publicly anyway. In the last 50 years.

11

this is true, but we still have to be careful not to do it on either side, even liberals will "other team" the republicans more often than not, which doesn't help, regardless of how accurate it is...

3

I don't have a favorite football team in this analogy. I have one team that really could do better in a great many ways, and another that wants to turn us into a Gilead-style post-apocalyptic right wing authoritarian wet dream.

So yeah, anyone but those guys, please.

2

Bet you no one in the store engaged him on any level, he ended up with a shopping cart half-full of groceries he didn't even want, and he had a brief but intense cry about it in his truck that was broadcast to his 3 followers on TikTok.

19
lemmy.world

Same guy will complain that he has no money because biden while he clicks checkout on a dumb flag cape

18

Wow this trump guy must be fighting really hard to make life better for people like this! He lowering taxes for the middle class? Improving infrastructure in industrial neighborhoods? Fighting back insurance company powers and improving access to health care? Maybe this guy has grandkids and this trump dude is going to make sure American schools finally have the resources they need to succeed? What is the secret sauce of his platform that has the jean shorts, crocs in piggly wiggly American joes so excited about?

16

Impossible!? Surely if history has taught us anything it's that leadership based on fear of others and hatred is the most based face of humanity. Good thing the Christian vote is still strong in the US right? No way that people that subscribe to the core teaching of Jesus who preaches a strong message of inclusion, compassion, and forgiveness could get behind anything of this sort.

2

"I'm a big, strong boy! If daddy wasn't dead and he was here, he would now say I'm proud of you and you're not a disappointment anymore!"

They're at the level of slides and flip flops: a very lazy setup for going outside.

Which is a dissonance to me, the man clearly cares about people's perception of him as evidenced by the flag-cape, but not enough to put in any real effort.

Yeah they’re admittedly kind of dumb, but they are also basically slippers that are waterproof and comfortable to walk in all day. There’s a lazy give-no-fucks practicality to them that makes them appealing.

Looks at Crocs

Notices big-ass holes in Crocs that are iconic to the brand

Waterproof

Ok.

1

Well I called them slippers, not rain boots, lol.

It’s nice that I can wear them while working outside, then hose off and still wear them to the store or whatever. I have a little pond so I can get all kinds of muck and mud on them & me.

1

I've missed out on so much business not selling over priced Trump/Vance capes...

8

They look like a homeless person who was blessed with a donation of this instead of a normal jacket or a hoodie.

6

“Down at the Big Y, I am the Big Why”

  1. Can we bring back capes? Capes are cool, I'm worried this dude has put back the return of the cloak a couple of months
  2. Where did he get a Trump Cape or is he just wearing the flag?
  3. How little self-awareness do you need to have to wear this?
  4. Is this part of his in development Homelander costume?
