What exactly are people upset about? Other discussions on this topic appear to mostly involve people who already know what's wrong. Something about new player experience and bots?

some assholes are running mass bot farms that join matchmaking and ruin servers with aimbots

this has been running for several years now

What could possibly be the point of doing such a thing?

Bots, there's millions of bots and basically nothing has been done for years about it.

The game is dying, the vast majority of players are bots that idle for items.

It would be okay if they were idle bots, they're bots using cheats that go into random lobbies to ruin the game.

But they make up enough of the population to make it highly likely to run into one in a public match

Blame the devs for not doing anything about the bots.

And they literally took down a fan project recently...

If you mean Portal 64 you're misinformed at best

Yes it is so the outrage is very understandable. Especially because they basically have a infinite amount of money as a company.

If valve is still going to release new crates that they make money off of they should at least work on the game enough to keep it playable.

7

Because that's not how Valve operates.

There are still devs who work on TF2, they just don't know how to address the bot problem without a lot of investment to overhaul the matchmaking system.

4

Big corporate (Valve) is behind it. Not sure why people expect something good to happen. A business is gonna business.

You reached the end

For the first time in it's 17 year run, TF2's review status has been demoted to "Mixed". | Spyke
