Many economy experts are claiming that a recession large enough to possibly match the Great Depression is coming soon, and the tech bubble is bursting too.

GitHub is owned by Microsoft right? I didn't expect GitHub India would be laid off, but this could be a sign that GitHub is afraid the recession will hit India soon.

It is a regular tech trend now that large corporations (Meta, Twitter, Amazon, etc.) are laying off people so that they can stay alive through a potential recession. The strange thing to note is that the same companies are also continuing to spend on marketing, which should have been paused during recessions since people will spend less.
