I've actually been shocked by how many people don't care. Or worse were upset that their sub was participating. I just…
Just goes to show there is a percentage of humanity that is oblivious to what's going on around them and don't really care as long as it's not inconvenient.

I'm imagining Spez is panicking. Like, if I was the board I'd be looking for a CEO replacement about now.

Reddit is apparently all the way down right now too: https://kotaku.com/is-reddit-down-ddos-page-not-found-twitter-blac…

People kind of forget that Hitler wasn't even a century ago. You bet theres still plenty of closet Neo nazis today desp…
Facts. My favorite way of thinking about history and time is this: assuming that at any given moment, there is someone alive who is 100 years old, then X event was Y humans ago.
Hitler was still in control of Germany ~.8 humans ago.

Yeah totally I really like city specific subs on Reddit and if we want a similar experience here that is a must
Absolutely. I'm also coming at this as a minority in my country. One of the best parts about reddit is that there are spaces where people in my minority can congregate and talk about new specific items related explicitly to us without clogging up/being buried in larger or more hostile general news spaces. We are probably stuck waiting until people can create clans on their own I guess.

100%.
But to expand on this it's not just that we need more basic clans it's that we need basic clans with organization that makes sense. For example, is InTheNews supposed to be South African news, US news, European News, World News..? It sounds like a small difference I guess but the context can make a huge difference about what's appropriate to post there.
I do understand the admins not wanting to expand too quickly though if they can't moderate it all fast enough.
