If it tends to happen right before and right after sleep it sounds less like schizophrenia and more like something up with your sleep itself.
In a nut shell: sometimes our brains dream right outside of sleep, but they aren't classified as dreams as we're awake and aware, so they are classified as hallucinations.
If this is an ongoing problem, I'd suggest letting your primary physician know and considering a sleep study to make sure your brain is sleeping correctly.
This could be indicative of a bigger sleep issue.
I've been diagnosed with a form of light schizophrenia and I'm waiting for a narcolepsy evaluation but have experienced insomnia my whole life.
My aunts got full blown schizo, sometimes she just randomly darts out of the house and runs off. The furthest shes gone is over 3 miles apparently before they found her collapsed on the curb. When asked, all she had to say was that she thought she was being chased by a rottweiler.
I'm not a doctor of course, so I'd recommend you share your symptoms with a psychiatrist. But yeah, I hope it's nothing, because those pills fuck with your weight and appetite.

Suggestions on how to stop voices whispering in my head while I'm trying to sleep? I get up in 5 hours. · c/AskSpyke | Spyke
I just imagine I am in an underground bunker. The cozy feel usually puts me to sleep.
Have you tried turning it on and off?
Couldn't locate the off switch.

What do the voices say? Where do the voices come from?
It's too quiet to hear, like someone whispering across the room. Sometimes I can make out a random word or two. They're stuck in my head somewhere.
Does this happen when you're about to sleep or about to wake up? Also, are you susceptible to schizophrenia?
It happens when I'm trying to sleep. I'm sure I'm susceptible to something but I couldn't tell you what.
